Redknapp Targets Nelson Cuevas as a Possible January Addition
By: b-man | November 5th, 2007Nelson Cuevas is a January target for Pompey boss Harry Redknapp
The 27-year-old forward, a veteran of two World Cups with Chile, is a free agent after leaving Mexican side Club America.
What with many players leaving for the African cup of Nations, I really feel that Harry needs to do what he does best, and as this would cost nothing, it seems like a good bit of business.

I’ve only seen Cuevas play once, but I will remember him forever. He made a lasting impression on me. Two years back, Barca and Club America had a friendly in LA I think, and Cuevas led America up 4-0 by halftime over Barca (who then scored four back in the second half). But for me, Cuevas was the best player on the pitch that night, even though he was playing against the likes of Messi, Deco, and Ronaldinho.
I don’t know if he’s that good normally, but damn he played well in that game.

I saw that game, that’s also the only time I saw him play. He was brilliant!!!!
If Pompey signed him, they would have a quality player. I definately think he’d make it in the EPL.

Wow I’m getting excited!
I just hope this isn’t one of those stupid rumours that’s completely false and made up out of nothing!
Having said that, most of the time when that happens the player linked is pretty well known.
