Harry Redknapp Will Not Be Allowed To Talk To The FA
By: b-man | November 25th, 2007
Portsmouth Chief Executive Peter Storrie has come out against the idea of Harry Redknapp taking the England job.
“Hopefully they’ll look completely the other way because we won’t let them talk to him at all. As far as we’re concerned, we wouldn’t give them permission to talk to him.”
All I can say is ‘thank God!’. I would be very worried if Harry were to leave as I quite honestly do not no of anyone who would fit our criteria. Any manager that I’d consider good enough for the job probably think themselves to be too good for the job.
In terms of England manager, while on the one hand I’d like for the manager to be a fellow countryman, I simply don’t think there’s the quality out there. To be honest the only to managers I want that are available are Jose Mourinho or Fabio Capello, however the fact that Capello doesn’t have a brilliant grasp of the English language would worry me.
Oh can I also add that I am very happy of the fact that Harry Redknapp is being mentioned for the England job (see ‘Will Harry Redknapp Even Get A Mention?’)!.
Who do you think should get the England job?

Cheers for the comment Joe!
Fair comment bout Big Sam but I couldn’t see England playing ‘long ball’ football!
I think Capello was the right choice though.
