Redknapp: ”Muntari has got to watch it”

By: b-man | September 27th, 2007

On his day Sulley is one of the best battling central midfield players in the premiership. However since his arrival at Fratton Park there have been a few question marks over his temprement and his challenges. Harry Redknapp observed that he’s “stretching into challenges”, this often causing him to appear late in his tackles. Hang on for a second. Let’s be fair. Let’s take a look at Patrick Vieira. He was surely one of the best defesive midfield players of all time, and he had some disciplinary issues in his early day’s of the premiership. And let’s not forget he’s only 22. That’s just one year older than Cesc Fabregas. So before all the press, all the commentators, and most of all, the referees jump on his back and give him a hard time, can we please give him a little while to settle, then you’ll see the Sulley Ali Muntari that was regarded as one of the best, most consistent midfielders in Serie A last year. Watch this space. Well actualy don’t watch this space imparticular, but watch some space, however I’m not quite sure yet.
