Portsmouth sign 18-year-old Swiss Starlet Danijel Subotic
By: b-man | January 8th, 2008Danijel Subotic has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Fratton Park.
The 18 year old striker was on trial from Basel and Redknapp was obviously impressed to sign him on a permanent basis.
I don’t know whether he’ll jump straight into the first team or not, but with Kanu and Utaka at the African cup of Nations, he’s a worthy aquisition, and one for the future.
He was part of the Swiss national squad for the 2007 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Hungary.
Subotic is 189cm tall (according to wikipedia, so he probably isn’t!)
