By: b-man | September 27th, 2007Portsmouth new boy David Nugent had the last laugh on Tuesday, as his goal sent the blues through to the next round of the Carling Cup. Former Preston striker Nugent was jeered and booed throughout the match, but he put that all behind him on 69 mins to send the travelling Pompey fans into a craze. The goal came from a long ball from Pedro wich Nugent got on the end of, to be fair he showed good composure to stick it away into the far corner past Kiraly.
