The Clubs second ever FA cup win has granted Pompey it’s first ever opportunity to shine in Europe in what surely must be the clubs greatest seaon in recent history.

They say a picture says a thousand words so:

“I would be interested in moving to England if I receive the right offer,” said Luisao.

“I have a deal with Benfica until June 2011 but now I am prepared to leave. The rumours about the interest of some clubs are interesting, but those depend on my club. I would be prepared to speak with other teams.”

Reasonable? Reasonable??? Half of that sum is pushing the boundaries of reasonable! £10million would be well over-the-top. But £15mil? Come on Rafa?!?

I’m not saying this because I think Crouch isn’t good. But that’s exactly what he is. Good. He aint’ world-class as the term is often thrown around. He is not £15million pounds worth of striker.

I’d like him back for Pompey. He’s effective and I think he’d form a formidable partnership with JD.

But for £15million I want something SPECIAL!

Last season Barca signed Thierry Henry for £16million. Fair enough he’s not had a great season but still, that’s Thierry Henry! This is Peter Crouch.

I’d be very, very suprised (not to mention dissapointed) if Harry Redknapp coughed up £15mil for him.

Big Sol is out of contract in the summer and it’s looking more than likely that he won’t be offered a new deal.

Luisao is valued at £12million by Benfica, which if you ask me is a bit high. Having said that though it’s very difficult to find a decent centre-back these days. Plus with the king of all bussinessmen at the helm, I’m sure we can knock a few millions off of that price tag.

I’d definately like to see Luisao come to Fratton Park. He’s strong, experienced, and I think would suit the premiership.

However I’d also like Sol to stay as he’s agreat influence in the dressing room and has been fantastic as skipper this season.

Could a swap deal be on the cards?

He won’t be a starter ahead of Sol or Sylv but he’s a good squad player, being able to play full back and centre back, and you know he’ll never let you down when you need him.

The deal is only a one-year deal so next season he’ll have to show something to stay until 2010.

But he hasn’t said he doesn’t want to go.

Make of it what you will but I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes. He’s always fancied playing abroad and he isn’t getting any younger.

Plus the fact that two former team-mates play for them (Bobby Pires and That man Cygan!) will sway his mind in that direction.
