Glen Johnson eyes England Call-Up
By: b-man | October 23rd, 200723-year old right back Glen Johnson has been one of the stand out performers for Portsmouth so far this season. Thanks to him and the rest of the lads Pompey are flying high in the league, and are looking strong for a promising season ahead.
Johnson joined Pompey from Chelsea this summer, and his great performances have already got people suggesting he may soon be knocking on the door of a certain Steve McClaren.
“I’m playing every week now and really enjoying my football. I’m just trying to play as many games as I can and see what happens with England,” Johnson said.

He deserves to be in the squad ahead of Gary Neville. I hope when Neville comes back he don’t replace Richards. Neville is too slow.

Vissarikiri are you mad? Neville is still a top quality full back. He has great positional sense and he isn’t actually that slow. Maybe in a few years Johnson will be ahead of Nev, but not now.

Hi B Man, Dan here from the Blackburn Offside. Would you mind answering me a few questions about Pompey for the Blackburn Rovers Mad website I run? If so, e-mail me at danny.clough@googlemail.com and I’ll send the questions.
